דודו בר-טל וליאור מרון

החיבור בין דודו וליאור הינו תולדה של מפגש הזוי ומקרי שהתקיים אי שם בערבות טנזניה שבאפריקה.
לאחר דקות ספורות של שיחה על דברים משעממים לחלוטין ועניינים בלתי חשובים בעליל, גילו השניים כי לא רק שהם חולקים אהבה משותפת ועזה למוזיקה על כל גווניה, אלא שהם גם שני "חפרנים" בלתי נלאים שמטריפים את הסובבים אותם במונולוגים מעייפים על ריפים, מקצבים, ז'אנרים, אלבומים, הופעות והרכבים.

טעמו המוזיקלי של דודו החל להתעצב בראשית שנות השמונים, במשולש הקדוש של חנויות התקליטים "אלגרו",
"בית התקליט" ו- "פאז" והוא המשיך להתגבש בין ערבי הרוק הכבד (כך הוא נקרא אז) של "קולנוע דן",
דרך המסיבות האפלות במרתפי "הפינגווין" ועד להופעות המיתולוגיות של מועדוני ה"רוקסן" וה"לוגוס" בתל אביב.

ליאור בזבז את מרבית תקופת ההתבגרות שלו על שירי פופ דביקים והערצה עיוורת ללהקות בנים, אבל לאחר שעבר תהליך גמילה קשה וכואב כשדרן רדיו בתיכון רונסון ושותף בפרויקט לוגוס (הד ארצי), הוא הצליח להדביק במהירות את הפער והחל לגמוע בנחישות ובקנאות מוזיקת רוק על כל גווניה וסוגיה.

הרעיון לתוכנית התגבש במהלך מפגשים שגרתיים בין דודו וליאור, לאחר שהם גילו עד כמה הם נהנים להתעמת, להתנגח, להתפלמס, להתווכח אך בעיקר להסכים ש"ללא מוזיקה, החיים היו שגיאה" (פרידריך וילהלם ניטשה).
